Uploading Photos of other Users

The purpose of uploading photos to HOPS is to enable 'putting a face to a name', which is so often a problem on heritage railways.

Passport-style photos are best, just showing head and shoulders. Photos of you under a loco or with a welding mask on might well say more about your personality, but it doesn't help people identify you. So sensible mug shots here, expressions of your personality on Facebook, please!

The ability to upload photos comes with a responsibilty. You must not upload anything:
- for which you do not own the copyright (or have the copyright holder's permission);
- commercially damaging;
- clearly not for the purpose of identifying you to other members of your railway;
- deliberate advertising;
- offensive;
- pornographic.

HOPS is continually being developed and updated. Sometimes the screen shots in these help files might lag behind the most up-to-date views of the screens. Generally, however, the functionality of the page will be the same, albeit with a slightly different format or layout.
