HOPS Succession Planning Update Hello Thank you to everyone who has engaged with this succession-planning exercise. I didn't want too much time to elapse without an update, so here is what's going on at the moment. The meeting with railways created lots of actions for me, and I am dealing with the detail of those. I'm also trying my best to create a way forward that addresses the key risks and concerns that were raised in the meeting. I am now holding meeting with a small team of experienced HOPS Admins and supporters who have agreed to potentially become directors in the future, and a person who is potentially willing to be a General Manager. These appointments aren't definite yet so I won't reveal names just yet. One definite theme coming out of the plans is to stage the various parts so that there isn't a sudden change, and that everyone can see a roadmap, so that is what we will try to work on. There has been lots of follow-up comments from railways, thank you for those. As you can image they span all extremes of possibilities, but they particularly relate to control and cost. There are a lot of things for us to work through, and nothing is changing yet. Our next meeting with the potential new staff involved is next week, so I will feed back to everyone again after that has taken place. If you have any questions in the meantime please let me know.
