ID Cards Updates

We have changed the buttons when an AtW is created. I'm sorry it has been necessary to change this so soon after it was all last changed, but we have found that [in our quest to please all the people all the time!] we have ended up with contradictory options, and inconsistent behaviour regarding which type of card a user will receive.

There are now two sets of radio buttons:

First set: Respect or don't respect the user's preference

Second set:
- When respecting the preference, what to do when a user selects 'physical card'.
- When not respecting the preference, which type of card to give the user.

In all cases, the card type is set for the user at the point of AtW generation and can be re-used next time if desired by selecting the 'retain existing setting'. No-one has an 'existing setting' at present.

All the user-facing settings are unaffected (eg opting in/out of having a physical card).

Several of the columns on all the different tabs have been tweaked or re-named to make clear the difference between the user's preference, the type of card they're destined to get, and the type of card they currently have.

We have not produced any cards since Saturday morning in order to implement these changes before any more are processed. If, on checking, you now find that a user is destined to receive an incorrect type of card, and it hasn't been produced yet (so they are in the Generated or Approved tabs), you can cancel the AtW and start again if you wish. (If the AtW is in the Live tab then the card has already been produced and it is too late to change. Please contact us if you believe you have been mis-sold your card!)

I'm aware there's a million support tickets outstanding for various ID Card issues, and we'll continue to work through those now.

I hope that these changes will put the ID Card system on an even keel again, and we can finalise some of the last bits, such as Temporary Cards, etc.

Thank you all for your patience.
