Competence Management Overview
|Positions can be added to each department for the purpose of registering competence.|
|Any custom set of 'grades' can be used. The department is supplied with a standard set (Withdrawn, Training, Qualified, Instructor, Assessor), but these can be added/edited/deleted if required.|
Attributes can be recorded against each available level of competence to determine the level of competence of members of staff holding that competence (Not competent, Training, Qualified, Instructor).
These attributes drive the determination of competence for rostering, and also the colouring system on competence documentation.
|For each department a Competence Matrix will be maintained, where user's competence can be recorded in once clear, unambiguous location.|
|For each user a profile of their competence in each position is available.|
|And for each user's competence in a particular position a history of their competence will also be available.|
HOPS is continually being developed and updated. Sometimes the screen shots in these help files might lag behind the most up-to-date views of the screens. Generally, however, the functionality of the page will be the same, albeit with a slightly different format or layout.
