Validation of E-mails
| User's e-mail addresses require to be validated to prove that that user owns that e-mail address. |

The validation is achieved by us sending an e-mail to the address and the user clicking the link to prove they have received it. |

| Apart from the exceptions below, we will not send any e-mails to an e-mail address until it has been validated. This is to avoid us sending e-mails to invalid addresses. HOPS sends hundreds of e-mails a day, and if we send too many invalid ones there is a danger we will become blacklisted by e-mail providers and corporate e-mail systems.
The only exceptions, that we will send to unvalidated e-mail addresses are:
- Shop orders from customers who are not HOPS account users
- E-mails advising of new user accounts
- E-mails requesting e-mail validation.
If you have any problems or are unable to validate your e-mail address for whatever reason, please contact us, or contact your railway's HOPS Administrator.
